With reference to your Straits Settlements

Confidential despatch of the 12th August I have the

honour to inform you that the confidential warning

regarding the Agent for the purchase of Persian opium

was duly conveyed by me to the Government of Sarawak

which stated, in replying that the warning had been

duly noted, that a similar warning from the League of

Nations Opium Advisory Committee had already been

received.
